170 Jobs Saved In Dumfriesshire

A boiler maker in Annan,Dumfriesshire was yesterday bought out of administration saving 170 jobs at the palnt.The business had been placed into administration after it's directors based in Malaysia announced that they were unable to support any working capital needs.However a last minute deal brokered by Accountancy firm Baker Tilly  has saw the firm being purchased by a another Malaysian Engineering firm SHBV.Keith Anderson,a partner at Baker Tilly and one of the joint administrators ,"BIB cochrane is one of the biggest employers in Annan.It has been our number one priority to save as many jobs as possible.A new company Cochran LTD,has acquired the business and it's assets following our appointment with the 170 employees being transferred to it."Cochranes formed in 1880 has been a market leader in develping boilers and  steam heating implements for sports stadia,under soil and shopping centres.
