Clackmannanshire Jobs Creation Project

Clackamannanshire Council along  with the Clackmannanshire Alliance have done better than expected in a job creations project to tackle youth unemployment.The iniaitive set up to find work for 50 ,18-24 year ols who had been unemployed for more than 6 months,in fact created 52 jobs.The jobs were created in the council,social sector and small and medium sized local operations.Council leader ,Janet Cadenhead said " This was always an ambitious project ,so it is fantastic news that we have exceeded our target of 50 new jobs.Young people deserve a chance of landing a job despite the recession.""This project has offered good quality jobs targeted in areas that need them",she added.One successful candidate Steve Craig explained ,"Future jobs fund has been a great opportunity for me,I have gained so much relevant experience and got back into the woorld of work."
