Hope For IT Jobs

Proposals for a £20million IT  centre at Inverness, creating around 400 jobs, has been submitted to Highland Council .Dingwall based IT company Alchemy Plus has lodged plans for the environmentally-friendly project on a site at Inverness harbour.If given approval , work on the scheme could start in a few months time, with the centre opening next year.Alchemy Plus chief executive officer Steve Chisholm yesterday predicted the initiative would “open up a whole new industry opportunity in the Highlands”.The majority of the jobs would  include positions created indirectly due to firms clustering around the Alchemy project to take advantage of its facilities.
