Jobs On Track for the Borders

It was announced yesterday that the Waverley Train project-Edinburgh to the Borders-a long running saga of hope has finally transferred to Transport Scotland and the announcement from the Scottish Government that it will see the first trains running through the region by mid-2013.

With this announcement ,not only will it bring gauranteed communication links for those travelling from the borders but also a boost to the economy with the creation of hundred of jobs as a result of the renaissance of the Waverley line,which was closed during the Beeching rail cuts in the 1960's.
