Production Technician (Scientific) - North Ayrshire // Ayrshire
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well respected Life Sciences organisation as a Production Technician. The successful candidate will hold a relevant life sciences degree or related discipline.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
Weigh chemicals for manufacture using a computer to capture production information; approve related labelling and paperwork and complete related documentation
Charge vessels with process water and hydrate chemicals in specified order to achieve homogeneous solution, adjust physiochemical parameters as appropriate and make to final volume
Assemble sterile filters and prepare Class A dispensing environment.
Performs mechanical assembly and disassembly of complex process equipment and piping on a routine basis to allow for cleaning of such equipment.
Completes all documentation in accordance or very close to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Maintains manufacturing, inventory and other records.
Makes recommendations for continuous process improvements in the manufacturing area.
You will have a strong academic background and hold a relevant degree within a relevant life sciences degree or related discipline and will have relevant chemistry or biology laboratory experience. Experience in cell culture techniques is preferred although not essential. You will possess good communication and organisational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
